Hey y’all; my name is Andy, and I enjoy eating. If I could marry an action, it would be eating, despite what else you may have heard about me. Originally from Vancouver, I’m studying physiology at McGill University, so I jump back and forth between Vancouver and Montreal. This movement will indeed be demonstrated in my posts, since both of these cities boast some pretty amazing eateries.

I would say that I’m somewhat conscious of my weight, but after awhile, I gave up on caring. Why be beautiful when I can eat beautiful things, even if they don’t look too pretty afterwards? Way way back in the day, a large girth was a representation of great wealth and prosperity. People say that we shouldn’t let go of our past, and I’d like to fully embrace that idea.

I take all of the pictures on my blog unless otherwise noted. I am by no means a professional photographer, but I use a Canon G12 to take my pictures. If I forget or am just too lazy to carry it around, I always have my handy dandy iPhone 4S, as well as sincere hope that the lighting is acceptable and trust in its supposedly superior camera. Do I feel like a loser when a waiter puts down on my food and the first thing I do is take a picture of it? Yes. Do I feel like a loser when I tell everyone else not to touch the food if we’re at a more communal kind of meal? Yes. Does that stop me? Clearly not, although I will admit that it does occasionally limit the amount of photographs I may take.

Being impartial to most things in life, I’m also quite nonchalant about most cuisines. I am more well acquainted with certain types of foods, of course, but I’ll just about eat anything that’s not super dodgy in just about any quantity. Living in Montreal, however, I do find myself craving Vancouver’s Asian food quite often. This probably lowers my standards to some extent, but all I can really do is write what I feel.

My eating problem, combined with my spending problem, is what ultimately led to the creation of this blog. Originally just a photographic Tumblr of all of the places I had given my clientele to, I decided to upgrade to a full blog in May 2011. What I have to say will probably be described in more words than necessary, but that’s just how I roll, y’all.

After all of this unnecessary information about myself (aren’t you supposed to reading about the food?), you may have one question: why do I have so many pictures of myself eating? There is one very simple solution to this, of course: I eat a lot.
